To partner with Saint Paul Animal Services to ensure every animal has the opportunity for a safe, healthy, and loving home through funding, volunteer engagement, fostering, and adoption support.
SPASA's work spans four pillars. Two are active today — two are on our roadmap as we grow.
Grants and direct funding for veterinary care, enrichment supplies, transport needs, and adoption promotion. Includes an emergency medical fund for urgent animal care cases.
Direct outreach to City Council and SPAS leadership. Building a coalition of MN animal welfare nonprofits for a unified voice on policy, funding, and systemic change.
Recruiting and coordinating volunteers to walk dogs, socialize cats, assist at adoption events, and provide enrichment — improving animal adoptability and reducing staff burden.
Building a foster network for at-risk animals — kittens, puppies, and medical cases. Providing foster families with supplies and vet coverage, plus hosting and promoting adoption events citywide.
SPASA is governed by St. Paul community members with backgrounds in animal welfare, law, business, and veterinary medicine.
Whether you want to donate, volunteer, foster, advocate, or simply stay informed — we want to hear from you.
